How do I lock or unlock my domain?
Domain locking is a security feature that prevents your domain from being transferred to another registrar without your consent. This is an important measure to protect your domain from unauthorised transfers.
Locking your domain
- Log in to the Elitehost Client Area.
- Navigate to Domains from the drop-down menu and select My Domains.
- Click the Manage button next to the domain name you wish to lock.
- On the left side of the screen, click Registrar Lock.
- Click the Enable Registrar Lock button.
Unlocking your domain
- Log in to the Elitehost Client Area.
- Navigate to Domains from the drop-down menu and select My Domains.
- Click the Manage button next to the domain name you wish to unlock.
- On the left side of the screen, click Registrar Lock.
- Click the Disable Registrar Lock button.
Locking your domain is highly recommended when you are not actively transferring it. This ensures the domain remains secure and protected from unauthorised changes.
