How do I register a domain?
Registering a domain is the first step to building your online presence. At Elitehost, you can easily place a domain registration order by following the simple steps below.
Visit the Elitehost Domain Registration Page
Go to the Elitehost Domain Registration Page to begin your search.
Search for Your Desired Domain Name
Enter the domain name you want to register in the search bar. The system will check if the domain is available.
If your desired domain is taken, you will be given suggestions for similar domain names or extensions (e.g., .com, .co.za, .net).
Add Domain to Cart
Once you find an available domain name, click Add to Cart. You can also add multiple domain extensions (e.g., .com, .net, .co.za) if available. Then, click Checkout to proceed with the registration process.
Configure Your Domain
If you need hosting, click [No Hosting! Click to Add] to select a hosting package for your domain.
You can also configure name servers if you're using an external host. By default, the domain will use Elitehost's name servers, but you can modify this if needed.
Continue to Checkout
Once you're satisfied with the configuration, click Continue to proceed to the checkout page.
Review your order and follow the payment instructions to complete the registration.
Registration Confirmation
After successful payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your domain registration details.
Choose a Memorable Domain Name: Your domain name should be easy to remember and represent your brand.
Consider Multiple Extensions: If you’re worried about others registering similar domains, consider purchasing multiple extensions (e.g., .co.za, .com, .net).
Renewal: Make sure to renew your domain before it expires to avoid losing ownership.
