# What are the settings for email configuration?

To configure your email account for use with an email client, we recommend using the SSL/TLS configuration for added security. Below are the settings for both SSL/TLS and Non-SSL configurations.

###### SSL/TLS Configuration (Recommended)

**Username:** Use the full email address.
**Password:** Use the email account’s password. (If you do not know the mailbox password, you will need to [change it in cPanel.](/en/article/how-do-i-reset-my-cpanel-emailmailbox-password-8gg4c9/))

**Incoming Server:** mail.exampledomain.co.za
**IMAP Port:** 993
**POP3 Port:** 995

**Outgoing Server:** mail.exampledomain.co.za
**SMTP Port:** 465

IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.
Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Disabled

###### Non-SSL Configuration

**Username:** Use the full email address.
**Password:** Use the email account’s password.

**Incoming Server:** mail.exampledomain.co.za
**IMAP Port:** 143
**POP3 Port:** 110

**Outgoing Server:** mail.exampledomain.co.za
**SMTP Port:** 26

IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.
Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Disabled
