How do I generate a full cPanel backup?

To perform a full backup of your account, follow these steps:

Log into cPanel.
In the Files section, click on the Backup icon.
Under Full Backup, click Download a Full Account Backup.
On the next page, select the Home Directory option from the Backup Destination drop-down menu.
For Email Address, select whether you wish to receive an email notification once the backup is complete. (You can also change the notification email address in the provided field if needed.)
Click Generate Backup.

You can also choose to back up your account to a Remote FTP Server by selecting that option from the Backup Destination drop-down menu. This allows you to store your backup on a different server for added security.

How do I download my backup file?

Once the backup is generated, you’ll need to download it. Follow these steps:

Log into cPanel.
Open the File Manager.
In the Home Directory (the one that opens by default), locate the backup file.
Right-click the backup file, then click Download to save it to your local computer.
