How do I add a redirect in cPanel?
- Log into cPanel.
- In the Domains section, click on Redirects.
- Under Type, choose the type of redirect:
- Permanent (301): This tells search engines and browsers that the redirect is permanent.
- Temporary (302): This tells search engines and browsers that the redirect is temporary.
- In the http://(www.)? field, select the domain you want to redirect.
- Enter the path you want to redirect (or leave it blank to redirect the whole domain).
- In the Redirects to field, enter the full URL to which you want to redirect.
- Under www. redirection, select your preferred option:
- Only redirect with www.
- Redirect with or without www.
- Do Not Redirect www.
- (Optional) If you want to redirect www to non-www, check the box labeled Wild Card Redirect.
- Click Add to save the redirect.
Your redirect will now be in place. You can also manage and remove any redirects from this section later if needed.
