How do I create an Auto Responder in cPanel?
An Auto Responder is an automated email message that replies to all emails sent to a specific email account. The most common use for this feature is for "Out of Office" messages, which inform senders that you are away and that their messages will be addressed upon your return.
To create an Auto Responder, log into cPanel and follow these steps:
Log into cPanel:
Access cPanel using your credentials. (Refer to our article: How do I log into cPanel?)
Access Auto Responders:
Click on the 'Auto Responders' icon in the Mail section of your cPanel home screen.
Add an Auto Responder:
Click the 'Add Auto Responder' button.
Set Response Interval:
In the 'Interval (hours)' text box, specify how long the auto responder should wait before responding to emails from the same address again.
Enter Email Address:
In the 'Email' text box, enter the part before the @ for the email address for which you want to create the auto responder.
- Note: If you have multiple domains listed, ensure you select the correct domain from the dropdown menu.
Configure From Details:
In the 'From' text box, enter your name or details as you want them to appear in the From field of your response.
Set the Response Subject:
In the 'Subject' text box, enter the subject for the response or type 'Re: %subject%' to automatically include the subject of the sender's message.
Choose HTML Option:
If your message includes HTML tags, check the 'HTML Message' checkbox.
Compose the Response:
In the 'Body' field, type the text of your response.
Save the Auto Responder:
Click the 'Create' button to create and save your new auto responder.
Your Auto Responder is now set up and will automatically reply to incoming emails based on your specified settings.
