How do I set up email filters in cPanel?
Email filters are used to manage your incoming emails effectively. They can direct emails from specific senders or with specific subjects into designated folders, forward emails from certain senders to another address, or discard emails with particular subjects (such as spam). This functionality helps keep your inbox organised and ensures you don't miss important messages.
Log into cPanel:
Access cPanel using your credentials. (Refer to our article: How do I log into cPanel?)
Navigate to Email Filters:
In the Email section, click on Email Filters.
Choose the Email Account:
Select the email account for which you want to create the filter.
Create a New Filter:
Click on Manage Filters and then click Create a New Filter.
Set Filter Criteria:
Filter Name: Enter a name for your filter.
Rules: Specify the criteria for the filter (e.g., From, Subject). You can choose options like:
- From: Filter emails from specific senders.
- Subject: Filter emails with specific subjects.
Choose Actions:
Select the actions to take when an email matches the criteria:
- Move to Folder: Direct emails to a specific folder.
- Forward: Send emails to another email address.
