What is the Elitehost SPF record?

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) records help protect your domain from email spoofing by specifying which mail servers are authorised to send emails on behalf of your domain. Elitehost provides an SPF record that you can add to your DNS settings to authorise our mail servers for sending emails.

Elitehost SPF Record:

For domains hosted with Elitehost, you can use the following SPF record: v=spf1 include:spf.zamailgate.com ?all

This SPF record ensures that all our outgoing mail server IP addresses are included and authorised to send emails on behalf of your domain.

If your domain is using third-party name servers, you will need to manually add this SPF record. You can do this through the DNS management tool, provided by your domain registrar or hosting provider.

Additional Considerations:

If you use other SMTP servers or email providers (such as Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Microsoft 365, or another provider, you will need to include those servers in your SPF record as well. You can combine them by adding multiple “include” mechanisms.

For example, to include Elitehost, Google Workspace, and Mailchimp in your SPF record, use the following: v=spf1 include:spf.zamailgate.com include:_spf.google.com include:mandrillapp.com ?all

This ensures that all relevant mail servers are allowed to send emails on behalf of your domain, reducing the chance of legitimate emails being marked as spam.
